THE ANDROLOGY LITERATURE
SELF ASSESSMENT EXAMINATION - THE 2008 CHALLENGE

This will be an online, self-assessment exam open to all serious ANDROLOGISTS, including: Students, fellows, post-doc candidates, laboratory professionals, basic scientists and clinicians. Anyone interested in the field of ANDROLOGY is encouraged to register and take the exam.
In its 1 st year, this exam offers both a unique learning opportunity and a CHALLENGE! The examinees from one group will engage in a friendly rivalry with the examinees from the other diverse groups of the ASA (check below for the competitive categories). The scores will provide the basis for an academic competition to see which group will achieve the highest grades?
The exam questions have been developed from 15 selected articles in the 2006 and 2007 Journal of Andrology that relate to the categories of the Andrology Core Curriculum (see below). The members of the exam committee have been carefully recruited to represent all of the specialties within the field of ANDROLOGY. They will develop a 64 question, multiple-choice exam from the 15 articles to cover all of the topics within the CORE CURRICULUM.
Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and the America Society of Andrology. The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Office of Continuing Medical Education has reviewed this activity’s planner disclosures and resolved all identified conflicts of interest, if applicable.

Purpose: This educational opportunity is sponsored by The American Society of Andrology (ASA) for several reasons:
- Several other societies suggested to members of ASA to consider development of a core curriculum for the field of andrology.
- In addition, the ASA Executive Council develop an exam that would offer a candidate the opportunity to self assess his/her understanding of current Andrology literature that was related to the core curriculum.
- In a survey of its membership, the ASA received an 84% favorable response for a plan to develop an andrology literature self assessment exam.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this education activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify the 15 selected articles from current issues (2006 & 2007) of the Journal of Andrology related to the Andrology Core Curriculum, and
- Assess their knowledge of the general field of Andrology plus all other areas of the field of Andrology by completing a comprehensive exam.

After you complete registration, you will receive an ID NUMBER, PASSWORD and a WEB SITE ADDRESS for the exam from: Exams@LXR.com.
To ACCESS the exam, click onto the WEB SITE ADDRESS provided by (Exams@LXR.com). The ID NUMBER and PASSWORD will open the exam. However, the questions will not appear online until- Fri., MARCH 7, 2008. The exam must be completed by 12:00 Midnight, Sun., APRIL 6, 2008
